UP Post matric scholarships, also known as Dashmottar scholarship and disbursed by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, are for students residing in UP and pursuing education in class 11 and onwards. Sponsored by the state government. UP post-matric scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to needy students who wish to further their studies. Since the number and nature of students in Uttar Pradesh are vast, the UP Government has divided the scholarships according to the needs, educational levels and categories of students. The post-matric UP scholarships are disbursed among students of SC, ST, OBC, Minority and General categories.

Eligibility Criteria
Post matric Intermediate Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The applicants must be students of classes 11 and 12.
The applicants should belong to the category of SC/ST/General of Uttar Pradesh to avail of this scholarship.
The annual family income from all sources must be below ₹2,00,000 for General candidates and ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST candidates.

The applicant must be studying at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level.
The candidate must belong to the SC, ST or General category of Uttar Pradesh to avail of the scholarship benefit.
The annual family income must not exceed ₹2,00,000 for General candidates and ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST candidates from all sources.
Post matric Other State Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh
The applicants must be studying in class 11 or above.
The candidates must belong to the SC, ST or General category of Uttar Pradesh.

The scholarship is for those students who are pursuing education at graduation, postgraduation, PhD or higher level.
The applicants must belong to the minority community of Uttar Pradesh.
The annual family income must not be more than ₹2 lakh from all sources.

Application Procedure
Eligible candidates can apply online for the Post Matric UP Scholarships through the UP-Government’s scholarship portal which makes the Dashmottar scholarship application process easier and simpler. Find below a complete description of how to apply for the UP post-matric scholarships.
First, the fresh applicants need to register on the ‘UP Government’s Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Online System’ as a new user by providing all the necessary information. The applicants must take the printout of the registration slip for future reference.
Once registered, the candidates need to apply for a fresh application under the ‘Student’ section by logging on the portal using the registration number, date of birth and password.
The candidate must fill in all the required details in the scholarship application form.
After filling the application form, the candidates need to upload their passport-size photograph and other required documents such as residential proof, caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate, mark sheets and certificates.
Finally, the applicants must go through all the information filled in the form to make sure that the information is correct and then, submit the application form.
After the final submission, the applicants must take the printout of the filled application form and attach other supporting documents with it and then submit the form at his/her respective educational institutions.
