LATEST UPDATE FOR GUJARAT COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (GUJCET) EXAM

The GUJCET Exam Date 2024 has been officially announced. As per the revised schedule, the GUJCET 2024 exam is going to be held on March 31, 2024, whereas it was previously planned for April 2, 2024.

GUJCET EXAM PATTERN

The question paper will contain a total of 160 Questions and 160 Marks. The total duration of the examination will be 240 Minutes i.e combined 2 hours for physics and chemistry and 60 minutes for maths and biology each. Questions will be of Objective type Multiple choice in nature.

NOTE . *There shall be combined question paper for Physics and Chemistry. i.e. 40 questions of Physics and 40 questions of Chemistry and, thus, total 80 questions, 80 marks and 120 minutes will be given. OMR Answer Sheet shall also be for 80 answers. The question papers for Biology and Mathematics shall be separate and for that separate OMR Answer sheet shall also be given. It means 40 questions in Biology and Mathematics each, 40 marks and 60 minutes time shall be given. OMR answer sheet will be also for 40 answers.

GUJCET MODE OF EXAMINATION

GUJCET Examination will be held as an Offline Pen & Paper-based Test.

The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. GUJCET EXAM: NATIONALITY

Candidates applying for GUJCET Examination must be a citizen of India & domicile of Gujarat.

The candidates need to satisfy at least one domicile rule specified below:

1. Rule 1: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Gujarat state. 
2. Rule 2: The candidate must have completed his/ her Class 10th & 12th from Gujarat Board. Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from the CBSE board are also eligible for the entrance exam. However, he/ she must have studied in a school located in Gujarat state.
3. Rule 3: The candidates who have studied Class 10th & 12th from schools located in Dadra Nagar & Haveli, Daman & Diu are also eligible for the entrance exam. However, the candidate's parents should be of Gujarat origin.
4. Rule 4: The candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from ICSE/ ISE board from any of the schools located in Gujarat are also eligible for the entrance exam.
5. Rule 5: Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible for GUJCET. However, the study centre of the candidates must be located in Gujarat state only.

GUJCET EXAM: AGE LIMIT

There is no age limit to apply for the GUJCET exam.

1. Registration: To apply for GUJCET, candidates will have to register on the official website. To register for the exam, candidates had to enter certain details. After successful registration, candidates were provided the registration number and password. 

2. Filling up the GUJCET application form: The next step is to fill GUJCET application form. Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.  

Educational qualification, work experience & languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.

3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): Upload photographs, signatures. After filling GUJCET application form, candidates will be asked to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature as per the given specifications.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking /Paytm /UPI.

5. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of application fees.

GUJCET EXAM ADMIT CARD

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download admit card for the GUJCET exam:

STEP 1- Visit the official website

STEP 2- Fill in the application number and password in the given space and click on the “submit” button.

STEP 3- GUJCET admit card will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.

STEP 4- Check the details printed on it and download it.

STEP 5- Take the printout of the GUJCET admit card.

Candidates can follow the below steps to check the GUJCET exam result: 
Step 1: Visit the official website

Step 2: Click on the “Result” link.

Step 3: Enter six-digit seat number. Click on “Go”.

Step 4: View the result for GUJCET exam.

Step 5: Download the result and take a print out.

GUJCET EXAM COUNSELING PROCESS

After the declaration of result, eligble candidates have to appear for counselling. GUJCET Counselling is conducted in two phases. After the conclusion of both phases of GUJCET Counselling, Spot Admission and Special Round Counselling are conducted for the eligible candidates. In order to participate in GUJCET counselling, candidates are required to register, pay processing fees and book slots for certificate verification.
