General Instructions:

1. Before applying for a post, the applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria mentioned above for that post as on the date specified and that the details furnished by him/her are correct in all respects.

2. Reserved category candidates, for whom no reservation has been mentioned, are free to apply against the vacancies declared for General category, provided they fulfil all the eligibility conditions applicable to General category.

3. If it is found at any stage of recruitment that an applicant does not fulfil the eligibility criteria and/or has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material facts, his/her candidature will be cancelled. If any of these deficiencies are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.

4. The applicant must ensure that the application is in accordance with the prescribed format and is filled in properly and completely.

5. Appointment of the selected candidate is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such appointment will also be subject to the Bank's Service and Conduct Rules for such post in the Bank, as applicable at the time of joining the Bank.

6. Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID/mobile number active for receiving communications such as call letters/interview date intimation etc.

7. The Bank takes no responsibility for delay in receipt or loss of any communication.

8. Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government offices, including Public Sector Undertakings, Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to produce 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be reimbursed.

9. In case of selection, candidates will have to produce proper discharge certificate from the employer at the time of taking up the appointment.

10. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online before the last date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of inability/failure to log on to the website due to heavy load on the internet or website congestion. SBI takes no responsibility for candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date due to the above reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of SBI.

11. Decisions of the Bank in all matters relating to eligibility, interview, other tests and selection will be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bank in this regard.

12. If the information furnished in the application is found to be incorrect at a later stage, the applicant will be liable for civil/criminal action.

13. Mere fulfillment of the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to call only the required number of candidates for interview after preliminary screening/shortlisting of the candidates in terms of their qualifications, suitability, experience etc.

14. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (complete) application will be retained and application fee/ intimation charges paid for other registrations will be forfeited. Appearing for interview more than once by a candidate for the same post will result in his/her candidature being summarily rejected/candidature cancelled.

15. Any legal proceedings in respect of any claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or any application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and the Courts/ Tribunals/ Forums at Mumbai only will have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any case/ dispute.

16. Outstation candidates, who may be called for interview after shortlisting, will be reimbursed cost of air fare (economy class) for the shortest route in India based on actual travel from present posting/place of residence, whichever is nearer to the venue of interview, upto a maximum of Rs.10,000.00 (to and fro) or actual travel cost in India (whichever is lower) on submission of original/copies of flight tickets/invoices and boarding passes. Local transport (such as taxis/cabs, private cars etc.) will not be reimbursed. If a candidate is found ineligible for the post, he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview and no fare will be reimbursed to him/her.

17. The Bank reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process in its entirety at any stage.

18. At the time of interview, the candidate will have to provide details about pending criminal case (if any) against him/her. The Bank may also carry out independent verification, including verification of police records etc. The Bank reserves the right to refuse appointment based on such disclosures and/or independent verification.
