General Instructions:

1. The applicant must be a Citizen of India.

2. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should, therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification. Such claims will only be considered if supported by valid documents. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification.

3. In respect of the equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce an order/letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated otherwise the application is liable to be rejected.

4. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on a part-time basis, daily wages, and visiting/ guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short-listing the candidates for interview. If any document/ certificate is furnished in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or notary is to be submitted.

5. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/ or experience, etc. shall be on 28 February 2023(inclusive of the date).

6. Candidates having marks expressed in CGPA/DGPA/OGPA etc. must convert them into their equivalent percentage of marks as per norms of the University/ Institute concerned.

7. 8. C-MET reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend/postpone/withdraw the recruitment process in respect of any one or more post(s) without assigning any reason thereof. The decision of C-MET shall be final and no appeal shall lie against such decision.

9. Canvassing in any form and or / bringing in any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

10. Candidates must ensure before applying that they are eligible according to the criteria stipulated in the advertisement. If the candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified and his/her candidature will stand canceled. Hiding of information or submitting false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment besides other actions as deemed fit.

11. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage, even after issuing an appointment letter, the C-MET reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the applicant.

12. All applicants must fulfill the minimum educational qualifications essentially required for the position and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying for the post. No inquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.

13. The decision of the Director General, C-MET in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and conduct of interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence or representation will be entertained from any individual.

14. Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Thrissur, Kerala and courts/tribunals/forums at Thrissur(Kerala) only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such cause/dispute.

15. Before submitting the application form, the candidates should carefully ensure that no relevant column of the application form is left blank; otherwise the application is liable to be rejected. Candidates may use a separate sheet wherever required.

16. Applications which are not in conformity with the requirement indicated in the advertisement are liable to be rejected.

17. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview. Mere fulfilling of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate to be called for an interview. No correspondence or interim inquiries in this regard shall be entertained. Further details on the recruitment process such as shortlisting criteria, mode of selection, etc shall be notified on the Website in due course of time.

18. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualifications prescribed for that post.

19. If any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the candidate will not be allowed to participate further in the selection process

20. At present the place of posting will be as indicated in the advertisement. However, the persons selected shall be liable to be transferred to any of the C-MET labs situated anywhere in India.

21. The offer of appointment will be subject to verification of original certificates/testimonials at the time of interview and completion of other preappointment formalities. If found otherwise the candidature shall be rejected. NO REPRESENTATIONS WILL BE ENTERTAINED IN THIS REGARD.

22. Corrigendum/Amendments/changes, if any, in the advertisement shall be published only on the C-MET website. Any inconsistency in the information advertised in the Newspaper and the Website, the information hosted on the Website will be treated as final.

23. Incomplete applications received or in the wrong format in any respect are liable to be summarily rejected.

24. The engagement is purely on a contract basis in respect of the above positions and confers no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/or explicitly for their continuation beyond the contract period or regularization in CMET. The contract may be terminated by either side with one month notice or consolidated remuneration in lieu thereof.
