About Course
ITI Machinist is a vocational trade that mainly focuses on the study of machines and several types of tools that are used for the manufacturing of machines, and maintenance of machines. ITI machinist is a technical program that deals in making machines parts, materials used in the parts of the machine, tools used in making and modifying machines, the importance of grease, and all other aspects of machine making. It is a technical course in the mechanical field. ITI Machinist is approved by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The course duration is 2 years. Eligibility

Admission Process
The admission process differs from institute to institute like some ITI institutes take direct admission without taking any entrance test whereas some institutes take admission based on merit list or entrance examination. The applying process is exactly the same in all the methods. Candidates will have to fill out the application form and submit the same to the college.
There are three ways to get admission in ITI Machinist.
1. Direct Admission- No entrance examination is taken in this process. The candidates can directly apply to the institutes and get admission.
2. Merit and Management Quota – There are seats reserved for the merit-based candidates and als0 for quota category seats for SC/ST/OBC/Defence service/Single girl child/EWS/BPL/Kashmiri migrants candidates. The institute takes admission on the merit list based on the score in the 10th examination.
3. Entrance examination- There is entrance examinations conducted by a few ITI government institutes that take admission if the candidates clear the exam. The fee structure is very nominal in the government institute.
