Eligibility  

Students aspiring to take admission to a course of Environmental Law must check whether they qualify its eligibility criteria or not. It is mandatory for all candidates to fulfil the eligibility criteria of Environmental Law in order to be able to pursue the specialisation. Every college or university has a specific set of eligibility criteria which might differ from each other. If any candidate applies for admission to the desired college without being eligible for that particular environmental law course, his/her candidature would be cancelled and he/ she will not be considered for admission. The Environmental Law eligibility criteria can be checked below.

1. It is mandatory for the candidate to have completed his/ her education up to a certain level for the type of environmental law course that he/ she wishes to take admission in.

2. If the student seeks admission to the degree of LLM, he/ she must have completed an undergraduate degree in law from a recognised university.

3. For admission to diploma programmes in Environmental Law, candidates will be required to have completed their higher secondary education or class 12th from a school that is affiliated to a recognised board of education. Some colleges may also ask the students to have a bachelor's degree.

4. Admission to the certificate level courses in environmental law is applicable for candidates who have completed their class 10th or class 12th and have secured passing marks in all the subjects.

5. The aggregate marks scored by students in their qualifying examinations must not be less than 45 to 50 per cent.

6. There is a provision in some colleges where some relaxation in the aggregate marks is provided to the candidates of reserved categories.
