JEE Main 2024 dates have been announced by the NTA. JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in two sessions in January and April. As per the schedule, JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 is January 24 to February 1 while JEE Main 2024 exam date session 2 is from April 1 to 15.

JEE MAIN (B.ARCH) EXAM PATTERN

JEE Main examination for B.ARCH is both a Computer Based Online Test and Pen & Paper Based (Offline) Test which includes three sections namely, Part I- Mathematics, Part II- Aptitude Test, & Part III- Drawing Test. Drawing Test is a Pen & Paper Based (offline) test and is to be attempted on a Drawing sheet of A4 size. Questions from Part I & II are based on Objective Type - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & Questions for which answer is a Numerical Value.There will be a total of 82 Questions for which total marks will be 400. The time duration of the examination is 180 minutes.

1. Part I- Mathematics and Part II- Aptitude Test is an Online Computer Based Test.

1. Following the National Education Policy (NEP), the JEE (Main)  will now be conducted for the first time in Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu , in addition to Hindi, Gujarati and English.
2. The option of language for question paper should be exercised while filling up the Application Form online and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
3. It is worth noting that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as final.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main  must fulfill eligibility criteria as mentioned by National Testing Agency (NTA) for this national-level engineering entrance exam. The candidates should check JEE Main Eligibility before registration to fill in details as required and avoid making any mistakes. Admission criteria are set by the Architecture Council for admission to the B.Arch. Degrees other than NIT, IIIT, CFTI: “No candidate will be admitted to the degree in Architecture unless, at the end of the qualifying exam, they have passed an examination with a 50% score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and a 50% score overall.

JEE MAIN (B.ARCH) STATE OF ELIGIBILITY

1. The state of eligibility refers to the code of the state from where a candidate has completed the class 12th (or equivalent) qualifying examination.
2. It is important to note that the State code of eligibility does NOT depend upon the native place or the place of residence of the candidate.
3. If a candidate has passed Class XII (or equivalent) qualifying examination from one state but appeared for improvement from another state, the candidate’s State code of eligibility will be from where the candidate first passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination and NOT the State from where the candidate has appeared for improvement.
4. Candidate passed/appearing in class 12th from NIOS should select the State of Eligibility according to the State in which the study center is located.
5. For Indian nationals passing the Class XII (or equivalent) examination from Nepal/Bhutan, the State code of eligibility will be determined based on a permanent address in India as given in the passport of the candidate.
6. The State code of eligibility of OCI/PIO passing the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in India is at par with Indian nationals. However, OCI/PIO passing the Class XII (or equivalent) examination from an institution abroad are eligible for Other State quota seats or All India quota seats (but NOT for Home State quota seats) in all NITs, IIEST and Other-CFTIs.

In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:-

1. Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
2. In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

NOTE:-

1. Eligibility criteria must be verified by the candidates before they proceed with the application process.
2. Final admission of the qualified candidates will be subject to fulfillment of JEE Main eligibility criteria .
3. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an institute, his/ her admission will be cancelled.

The notification for JEE MAIN-2021 examination was released on 16th December 2020. The examination undergoes in two sessions. 2. The Aptitude section included questions from Orthographic Progression, Hidden Figures, Mirror Images, and Odd one out. The section was easy and the questions had to be approached with Imagination and Visualization of the questions. 

3. In Drawing, the questions were Portrait of a Sardar standing at Golden Temple, Make a view of the traditional market you have been to, Make a 2D composition using different sized hexagons, Corporation - Decode the images and draw aesthetic composition. 

JEE MAINS (B.ARCH) ANALYSIS 2020

Analysis has been done on the paper which has been successfully conducted for JEE Main on 7 January 2020, followed by Previous Year Papers. 

1. Mathematics- The questions were asked from Relations & Functions, Matrices & Determinants, Limit, Continuity & Differentiability, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Coordinate Geometry, Vector Algebra, Statistics & Probability, Trigonometry, Mathematical Reasoning. Functions were difficult, matrices were easy, the difficult questions came from hyperbola, measurements, and three-dimensional geometry. 

2. Aptitude - General aptitude was easy and had questions about patterns and sequence, Awareness of places, persons, buildings, materials/objects, Visualizing different sides of 3D objects top view, front view, and theoretical questions on architecture.

3. Drawing - The drawing questions were based on views of pictures, creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms and odd figures. Drawing building, making a drawing using a rectangle or triangle, drawing a garden, etc.

Major Highlights

1. Aptitude questions were easier in comparison to Mathematics and Drawing section.
2. A majority of questions were asked from NCERT.
3. The weightage of class 12th was more in the overall paper. However, in the maths section, most of the questions were from class 11th.
4. There were many questions from 3D geometry in the paper.
5. Maths was lengthy.

Drawing Test is a Pen & Paper Based (offline) test and is to be attempted on a Drawing sheet of A4 size. Questions from Part I & II are based on Objective Type - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & Questions for which answer is a Numerical Value. There will be a total of 82 Questions for which total marks will be 400. The time duration of the examination is 180 minutes.

Note:- **20 questions will be MCQs and 5 questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be no negative marking for numerical value.

JEE Main will be held twice a year and the responsibility of hosting the exam has been transferred from CBSE to National Testing Agency (NTA). Registration: The registration process for JEE Main comprises the below-mentioned steps. Interested candidates, before filling out the application form, should ensure that they meet the JEE Main eligibility criteria. Fresh candidates applying for JEE Main need to register on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Already registered candidates are not required to register on the website. Such candidates can sign in to JEE Main's official website with their old credentials. 

2.  Filling up the JEE Mains application form: Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the JEE Main application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.  

1. Exam - Choice of paper - 1 or 2 or both. Candidates must also select the preference of exam language in which they want to appear
2. Personal - Here candidates have to provide name, category, father's and mother's name, etc.
3. Communication - Candidates have to provide their residential and correspondence details. 
4. Choose Password - Enter the password and confirm the same.
5. Security - Candidates have to enter security Q and A for further login on the website.
6. Review all the details before submitting the registration form.

3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures):  Upload photographs, signatures. and documents. After filling application form, candidates will be asked to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature as per the given specifications. Images that are not as per prescribed specification shall not be considered and may lead to rejection of the application.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI.

5. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of JEE Main application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over.

The JEE Main Organizing Authority provides a one-time facility to make corrections to specific fields of the JEE Main application form. An additional fee may be charged for corrections on the JEE Main Application Form. The JEE main correction window is available after the last application form submission date. Corrections after the end date are not taken into account. The JEE main form correction function is equivalent to filling out the JEE main registration form of again. The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in  subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA..

JEE MAIN (B.ARCH) EXAM RESULT

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2A paper result in two phases - after the conduct of each phase of the exam on its official website. With the help of their candidate credentials like the registration IDs and passwords, the candidates can access their mark sheet/result from the official website of NTA. JEE MAIN (B.ARCH) EXAM COUNSELING

The schedule of counseling will be announced by the JoSAA after the declaration of JEE Main result on the website josaa.nic.in. JEE Main counseling will be conducted online in a total of six rounds. To participate in the counseling, candidates will be required to register online on the website and fill in choices of their preferred institutes and branches.
