Educational Qualification:
1. To be eligible to appear for admission to One year- LL.M. Programme, a candidate should have passed the LL.B or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability category).
2. Candidates appearing/awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date, which will be notified along with the Notification of Entrance Test result, and in case such candidate is placed in compartment in year of the admission would be treated as ineligible.
3. The admission for Foreign Nationals shall be made on the basis of:
a. Academic record of LL.B. or equivalent degree recognized by the UGC/ Association of Indian Universities with not less than 55% marks or the equivalent grade.
b. Assessment of necessary communication skills in written and spoken English and performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.
Reservation Criteria:
Accordingly, there are 15% seats reserved for the SC category, 7.5% for the ST & 5% horizonal reservation for the Person with Disabilities. The university offers one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants & two additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
Eligibility Highlights:
1. The candidates belonging to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/Person of Indian Origin (PIO) category may apply under the OCI/PIO category as well as under the category of Indian students separately (They have to submit the two different application forms i.e. one for India National and another for OCI/PIO category). COUNSELLING PROCESS:
The AILET online counselling process includes the following steps:
Step 1: Check AILET invite list
Firstly, all the qualifying candidates need to check their names/roll numbers in the invite list released by NLU Delhi. The invite list will be released for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses separately.
Step 2: Register for AILET counselling
All candidates whose names/roll numbers appear in the invite list then have to register themselves for the counselling on the NLU Delhi admission portal -
1. Upload all the prescribed documents
2. Pay AILET counselling fee of INR 50,000
Step 3: Check provisional admission list
Next, NLU Delhi will release the provisional admission lists containing the names, roll numbers and marks of candidates selected for admission. In case, there will be any vacant seats after the first list, the second admission list wil also be released by NLU Delhi on the official website.
Step 4: Pay balance fee
Lastly, candidates who wish to accept the seat then need to pay the remaining amount of admission fee in online mode.

EXAM PATTERN:

AILET LLM Examination will be held as an Offline Pen-Paper based Test. Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.

Marking Scheme:
1. There will be Negative Marking in AILET PG 2025. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of one (1) mark.
2. If two or more candidates get the same marks at the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) their merit will be decided as follows:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

2. All candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection shall be solely on that basis. The Foreign National and OCI/PIO Candidates are also required to apply online on the same portal.
Age Limit & Relaxations
There is no specific age limit mentioned to apply for AILET Exam.
Educational Qualification:
1. To be eligible to appear for admission to One year- LL.M. Programme, a candidate should have passed the LL.B or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability category).
2. Candidates appearing/awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date, which will be notified along with the Notification of Entrance Test result, and in case such candidate is placed in compartment in year of the admission would be treated as ineligible.
3. The admission for Foreign Nationals shall be made on the basis of:
a. Academic record of LL.B. or equivalent degree recognized by the UGC/ Association of Indian Universities with not less than 55% marks or the equivalent grade.
b. Assessment of necessary communication skills in written and spoken English and performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.
Reservation Criteria:
Accordingly, there are 15% seats reserved for the SC category, 7.5% for the ST & 5% horizonal reservation for the Person with Disabilities. The university offers one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants & two additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir.
Eligibility Highlights:
1. The candidates belonging to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/Person of Indian Origin (PIO) category may apply under the OCI/PIO category as well as under the category of Indian students separately (They have to submit the two different application forms i.e. one for India National and another for OCI/PIO category). In case the OCI/PIO candidates apply under the category of Indian National, they have to appear in the All Indian Law Entrance Test along with other Indian students.
2. The merit of the Foreign National and OCI/PIO Category will be drawn on the basis of percentage of marks in the qualifying exam.
3. The unfilled seats under Foreign National and OCI/PIO will be carried over to General Category and filled on AILET Merit.
4. Definition of Foreign Nationals: The candidates who possess citizenship of a country other than India and hold a valid passport of Foreign Country.

Below are the steps that the students need to follow when completing the application form for AILET:
Registration: Candidates need to visit the official website of NLU Delhi
Filling up the AILET application form: Click on the "REGISTER" option. Fill out the AILET REGISTRATION FORM by entering your name, mobile number and email ID
Select the Law Course
1. The exam is conducted for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in law, therefore, candidates need to select the course they are applying for.
2. For this candidates need to select the application form for – BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD.
3. Upload Photograph, Signature & Certificates: Upload photographs, and signatures. After filling AILET application form, candidates will be asked to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature as per the given specifications.

Note: In case the number of the candidates at any test city is less than 100, the test centre will not be created in that city and candidate will be allotted test city as per their 2nd/3rd preference of test city.
ADMIT CARD
Step 1- Visit the official website
Step 2- On the home page, you will find the admit card download link.
Step 3 - Enter user ID and password.
Step 4 - AILET PG admit card appears on the screen.
Step 5- Download the admit card and take its printout.
RESULT:
Step 1- Visit the official website
Step 2- On the home page, you will find the result link.
Step 3- A pdf will be flashed on your screen where you can see the candidates who are qualified.
Step 4 - Search for your name using CTRL+F, If your name is in the pdf, you are qualified in the examination.
Step 5- Download the result as displayed on the screen.
Step 6- Take a printout of it and keep it safely for further use.

Candidates are eligible for NLU Delhi admission in BA LLB (Hons) course if they have passed Class 12 with minimum 45 percent aggregate. Candidates are eligible for admission in LLM course if they have passed LLB with minimum 50 percent aggregate. There is no minimum marks requirement mentioned by NLU Delhi to qualify AILET exam. However, candidates securing higher marks will be given preference for admission.

The All India Law Entrance Test is conducted in offline mode, that is, candidates get the question paper and they have to mark their responses on the OMR sheet. Yes, for each wrong attempt 0.25 marks are deducted from the total score in AILET exam. One mark is allotted for each correct answer.
