Diploma In Electronics Engineering & Mechanical Engineering.

Admission to the Indo-Swiss Training Centre is through an all-India entrance test open to both boys and girls held in July every year. The test is a multiple-choice type question paper. Results are declared within 10 days.  Selection is on the basis of merit in the ISTC Entrance Test conducted at Chandigarh.

Essential Qualifications: Candidate must have passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Science, and English as subjects from any recognized school/ board. Those who have appeared in the qualifying examination in the current year and have not yet received their result as yet are also eligible to apply.

Advance Diploma in Mechatronics & Industrial Automation with 30 Intake and Die & Mould Making with 20 Intake.

• CAD/CAM (20 seats) and
• Mechatronics (20 seats)

Admission Shall be Based on Merit of Graduation Exam Score Card in Relevant Discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

The National Skill Development Policy of the Government of India, issued in March 2009, states that the demand for skilled manpower by 2022 will be 50 million. Due to increasing urbanization, 50 million nonfarm employment opportunities will be created during the period from 2012 to 2017 and the same number of people would require certified skill training. Keeping this urgent national requirement in mind, CSIO-ISTC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) in 2017.

PSDM is designed to provide skills to the unskilled urban poor as well as to upgrade their existing skills. The program will provide skill training to the urban poor to enable them to set up self-employment ventures and to get salaried jobs in the private sector. The program intends to fill the gap between the demand and availability of local skills by providing skill training programs as required by the market. This will eventually lead to better living standards and alleviation of urban poverty on a sustainable basis and ensure inclusive growth with increased contribution of skilled urban poor to the national economy.
