The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the cancellation of the RRB JE CBT 2 examination conducted on April 22, 2025, Shift 2. Candidates who appeared for this particular shift can view the official notification on their respective regional RRB official websites.

The examination was cancelled after it was discovered that several questions from Shift 1 had inadvertently been repeated in Shift 2 due to a software system error. In the official statement, the Railway Board emphasized that RRBs maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in the creation, handling, encryption, and transmission of question papers, relying entirely on a software-based methodology with zero human involvement. However, owing to the technical error, the exam for the second shift on April 22 has been declared void and will be rescheduled soon. The new date for the examination will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, the provisional answer key for the RRB JE CBT 2 exam has been released, and candidates can raise objections until April 30, 2025. To challenge an answer, candidates must pay a fee of rupees 50 per question along with applicable bank charges. If the objection is upheld, the fee will be refunded after deducting applicable bank charges, with refunds processed to the original payment account.

Candidates who clear the second stage CBT will proceed to the Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination stages. Shortlisting for DV will be based on the normalized marks obtained in the second stage CBT.
