Description
The Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) has officially declared the Class 12 examination results in Imphal on Friday. The announcement was made in the presence of key officials including Education (Schools) Secretary N Praveen Singh, COHSEM Chairman T Ojit Singh, COHSEM Secretary Kh Ashikumar, and Controller of Examinations O Joy Singh.
This year, a total of 28,909 students appeared for the Class 12 exams, out of which 27,175 students passed, including:
14,522 with first division,
10,905 with second division, and
1,723 with third division.
Government vs Non-Government Schools
Girls performed better than boys across both government and private institutions. The overall pass percentage in government schools stood at 89.95%, while non-government schools achieved a higher success rate of 95.66%.
Stream-Wise Performance
Overall Pass Percentage: 94% (slightly lower than 97.63% in 2024)
Science: 95.45%
Arts: 90.12%
Commerce: 92.06%
District-wise, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal recorded a 100% pass rate, followed closely by Thoubal with 98.88%. On the other end, Jiribam had the lowest performance with a 77.01% pass percentage.

2nd: Mediciciana Moirangthem – Herbert School – 483 marks
3rd: Silvia Lukram – Comet School – 479 marks
Arts Stream:
1st: Keisham Hannah Devi – Enlighten Knowledge HSS – 479 marks
2nd: Harsh Maidnam – Enlighten Knowledge HSS – 476 marks
3rd: Sagolsem Inunganbi – Enlighten Knowledge HSS – 473 marks
Commerce Stream:
1st: Warepam Lidia Devi – TG Higher Secondary School – 463 marks
2nd: Yaiphabi Sapam – TG Higher Secondary School – 434 marks
3rd: Devia Mayengbam – TG Higher Secondary School – 427 marks
Official Remarks
While congratulating the successful students and toppers, Education Secretary N Praveen Singh applauded the efforts of educators and exam officials. COHSEM Chairman T Ojit Singh acknowledged that while this year’s overall pass percentage slightly dipped compared to 2024, the performance remained commendable across streams.
