Description
The Bihar Home Guard and Fire Services Department has issued the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) admit cards for the 2025 recruitment cycle. Candidates from specific districts Bhojpur, Munger, Lakhisarai, Darbhanga, and Purnia can now download their admit cards from the official portal.
Applicants from other districts will receive their admit cards in a later phase, as per the department's schedule.
Eligibility Criteria For Physical Standards
Height Requirements:
Male Candidates (General): Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (162.56 cm)
Male Candidates from Purnia and Kosi Division (Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura): Minimum 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm)
All Female Candidates: Minimum height is 153 cm
Chest Measurement (Male Candidates Only):
General Male Candidates: Minimum 31 inches (79 cm) without expansion
Male Candidates from Purnia & Kosi Division: Minimum 30 inches (76 cm) without expansion
Note: Chest measurements are not applicable to female candidates. Third gender candidates will follow the same criteria as female applicants.
About Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will be conducted at the district level and carries a total of 15 marks, broken down across multiple physical events. The test procedure is as follows:
Biometric Verification: Candidates will begin with biometric registration.
Race: All applicants must participate in a timed race. Failure to complete the race within the set time will result in disqualification from further events.
Height & Chest Measurement: Those who qualify in the race will undergo measurement checks. Ineligible candidates will not proceed further.
Athletic Events: The next stage includes high jump, long jump, and shot put, with 5 marks each. Each participant will receive up to three attempts per event.
