The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has commenced the application process for its four-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2025–26. Interested candidates can apply through the official website until May 30, 2025. The academic session is set to begin on September 1, 2025.
This innovative program is offered by the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and is designed to deliver cutting-edge knowledge in the fields of AI and data science through a fully online, flexible, and affordable platform.
Program Highlights And Curriculum
The course follows a trimester-based academic calendar, with each term lasting 12 weeks. It covers both foundational principles and advanced applications in AI and data science. The curriculum blends theory with practical experience through:

Students opting for early exit have the flexibility to rejoin after a one-year break and complete the full degree.
Eligibility And Admission Process
To be eligible, applicants must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with at least 60% aggregate marks, with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
Direct admission is offered to candidates eligible for JEE (Advanced) in any year.
Other applicants must qualify through an online entrance test, for which a preparatory course is available.
