Description

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the official notification for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2025 (APSC CCE 2025). Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from March 28, 2025, onwards through the official website apsc.nic.in. The deadline for application submission is April 29, 2025, at 5 PM, while the last date for payment of the examination fee is May 1, 2025, at 5 PM.

Application Fees

• General category candidates (including ex-servicemen): Rupees 297.20 (inclusive of taxes and processing charges).

• SC, ST, BPL candidates of all categories, PwBD candidates (including ex-servicemen of the respective categories), and women applicants: Rupees 197.20.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for APSC CCE 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Citizenship - Must be an Indian citizen.

• Age Limit - Candidates should be between 21 and 38 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation applies to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

• Educational Qualification - A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is mandatory.

• Language Proficiency - Applicants must be able to speak Assamese, any other official language, associate official languages, or any tribal language of Assam.

• Employment Registration - The candidate should be registered in a district employment office and must be an original inhabitant of Assam.

Selection Process

The APSC CCE 2025 consists of two stages:

• Preliminary Examination – Objective-type test.

• Main Examination – Includes a written examination and an interview/personality test.

Prelims Examination Structure

• The preliminary exam consists of two papers: General Studies Paper 1 – 200 marks. General Studies Paper 2 – 200 marks.

• Each question will have four answer choices, and ¼ of a mark will be deducted for incorrect responses. Marking multiple options for the same question will be considered incorrect.

Exam Centres For Prelims

The preliminary exam will be conducted across multiple locations in Assam, including:

Amingaon, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Biswanath Chariali, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Goalpara, Golaghat, Guwahati, Haflong, Hailakandi, Hamren, Hatsingimari, Hojai, Jorhat, Kajalgaon, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Mangaldoi, Morigaon, Mushalpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, North Lakhimpur, Pathsala, Silchar, Sivasagar, Sonari, Sribhumi, Tamulpur, Tezpur, Tinsukia, and Udalguri.

Main Examination Centre

The main examination will be conducted only in Guwahati. However, APSC reserves the right to change the exam dates and centres if required due to unforeseen circumstances.

Exam Dates

The exact dates for both the Preliminary and Main Examinations will be announced by APSC at a later stage.
