The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has introduced a Postgraduate Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and Machine Learning Applications for Engineers, in collaboration with Futurense.
This 11-month hybrid program combines live and recorded sessions, offering flexibility for participants. An optional campus immersion at IIT Roorkee is also available.
The program is crafted to provide engineers with practical expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL). According to the press release, AI is rapidly evolving and is becoming a significant force in global power structures. Sam Altman has cautioned that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) might arrive sooner than anticipated, with countries racing to secure leadership in AI innovation. There is a notable gap of 4-5 years between academic AI research and real-world applications, posing a potential vulnerability. As advanced models such as Deepseek push AI’s boundaries in reasoning and autonomy, engineers must be equipped with more than just theoretical knowledge; they need the skills to develop cutting-edge AI technologies. The PG Certificate Program in Generative & Agentic AI aims to bridge this gap, combining IIT Roorkee's academic rigor with Futurense's industry insights to ensure Indian engineers are at the forefront of the global AI revolution.
