Description
IIT Palakkad has announced a six-week residential summer internship program for undergraduate and postgraduate students in 2025. The internship, starting in May, will provide participants with hands-on research experience and exposure to various research domains, including both hardware and software analysis tools.
The program is open to both Indian and international students who meet the eligibility criteria. However, students from IIT Palakkad are not eligible, and foreign nationals studying at Indian institutions will be considered on the same terms as Indian nationals.
Applications for the internship will close on March 18, 2025, and the program will run from May 21 to July 2025. Eligible candidates include postgraduate students, including those in the 4th and 5th years of integrated master's courses in fields such as science, engineering, and humanities. Undergraduate students in the 3rd and 4th years of engineering, technology, or science courses are also eligible to apply.
Application Process
Interested students must create an account on the official IIT Palakkad website using a valid email ID. A system-generated email will provide further instructions. If applicants do not receive the email, they can reach out to summer-internship@iitpkd.ac.in for assistance.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on the candidate’s academic performance, research aptitude, and how well their interests align with the research areas available.
Benefits And Support
Selected candidates will receive financial support of Rupees 8,000 per month, totaling Rupees 12,000 for the entire duration of the program.
Accommodation will be provided on a shared basis, but students will need to pay for hostel room rent and mess charges.
Interns who complete the program successfully will receive an internship certificate.
