Description

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, will commence February 1, 2025. The exam is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Candidates can download their GATE 2025 admit cards via the GOAPS official website.

Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela, there has been a change in the test centers in Prayagraj. Candidates who had selected Prayagraj as their exam city will now take the test at alternative centers in Lucknow. Updated admit cards reflecting the new exam locations have been issued.

Key Instructions From IIT Roorkee For GATE 2025 Candidates

  • Candidates can choose to appear for one or two out of the 30 available test papers. All exams will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, where questions will be displayed on a computer screen.

  • A virtual scientific calculator will be available on the screen for use during the exam. Personal calculators, watches, wallets, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and any electronic or communication gadgets are prohibited inside the examination hall.

  • Candidates are not allowed to bring books, charts, tables, loose papers, handbooks, or any items like pouches or boxes into the exam hall. Possession of such items will lead to disqualification, regardless of whether they are used.

  • IIT Roorkee will not be liable for the security of candidates’ personal belongings.

  • A scribble pad will be provided for rough work. Candidates must write their name and registration number on it before use.

  • Only one scribble pad is allowed at a time. If additional pages are needed, the candidate must return the first pad to the invigilator before receiving a new one. The scribble pad must be returned to the invigilator after the exam concludes.

Candidates are advised to follow all the guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth examination process.
