Description

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that its annual psycho-social counselling program will begin on February 1, 2025, and run until April 4, 2025. This initiative is designed to reduce exam-related stress and provide support to students in Class X and XII as they prepare for their theory exams, which are set to start on February 15, 2025. The counselling service will be provided in two phases: before and during the exams, and after the results are declared.

Key features of the program include

  • 24/7 Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) - Students can call the toll-free number 1800-11-8004 for advice on stress-free exam preparation, time and stress management techniques, answers to common questions, and contact details for CBSE. The IVRS service will be available around the clock in both Hindi and English.

  • Tele-Counselling Services - A team of 66 trained professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators, and psychologists, will offer free, voluntary support to students. The services will be available Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Out of the 66 experts, 51 are based in India, and 15 are located in Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE.

  • Podcasts/Audio-Visual Content - CBSE will provide podcasts and video resources on its official website, covering topics such as stress management, exam preparation tips, and mental well-being.

For more details, students can visit the CBSE official website.
