The Medical Counselling Committee has issued a new information bulletin about the NEET PG counselling process. It should be noted that counselling registration has begun, and the deadline for students to apply for round one counselling is November 17, 2024.The revised counselling information bulletin contains changes on Armed Forces Medical Services counselling and eligibility conditions.
According to the information provided, the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services will conduct the counselling process for Priority 3, 4 and 4 candidates seeking admission to Armed Forces Medical Services Postgraduate Teaching Institute.
After assessing the applications, the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) will provide MCC with a list of eligible Priority 3 and 4 candidates.
Candidates who register under priority 5 will be counselled and provisionally assigned a seat based on their merit and seat availability. The medical examination for these candidates will take place at the institute where they are provisionally allocated.
NEET PG 2024 Counselling For Armed Forces Medical Services.
The Armed Forces Medical Services provides postgraduate training at AFMS PG Teaching Institutes for in-service medical officers to meet specialist needs. Surplus seats are allocated to eligible civilian candidates using government-approved prioritization methods. Civilian doctors admitted to postgraduate studies at AFMS institutions must serve as Short-Service Commissioned Officers in AFMS for five years.
Eligibility Criteria For NEET PG Counselling, AFMC
Graduates of NMC-accredited medical colleges can apply for admission to postgraduate courses at Armed Forces Medical Services institutes.
Candidates must also be registered as medical practitioners with any state medical council recognized by the NMC.
All candidates, excluding Priority 2 candidates, must be Indian citizens.
DGAFMS will give eligibility information for candidates in priority 3 and 4.
Priority 5 candidates have a maximum age of 30 years as of December 31, 2024.
