Description
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on October 9, introduced a certificate program in Design Thinking and Innovation. This five-month online programme, which begins on December 20, seeks to provide professionals with the skills they need to remain competitive in a quickly changing digital economy.
The Design Thinking and Innovation training is intended for managers, product developers, entrepreneurs, business consultants, and senior executives. Interested students will pay Rs 1,10,000 + GST to get a diploma from IIT Delhi upon successful completion of the programme.
According to the news announcement, the curriculum focuses on defining, ideating, prototyping, testing, generative AI, Human-Centered Design (HCD), iterative design and sustainability, agile design, and data-driven innovation.

One Capstone Adventure Project. Participants will work on a final capstone project that will allow them to apply their entire set of design thinking abilities to complicated real-world problems.
Generative AI masterclasses include talks on AI-driven innovation, ethical AI use, and product development.
Participants will have the option of attending two on-campus sessions at IIT Delhi for additional networking opportunities and direct interactions with instructors.
The programme, headed by Professor Vijayaraghavan M Chariar, an award-winning expert in Design for Sustainability, Frugal Innovation, and Traditional Knowledge Systems, provides direction from an experienced leader in the field of sustainable innovation. With over two decades of expertise, including entrepreneurial companies such as Ekam Eco Solutions, Prof. Chariar will present participants with insights into merging design thinking with advanced AI tools, assisting them in driving meaningful and sustainable innovation, according to the press release.
