The XAT 2025 examinations are scheduled to take place on January 5, 2025. For admission to various undergraduate degrees, XLRI will conduct exams at selected exam centres. The exam format for the XAT 2025 has been updated for the upcoming exams. According to the official statement, the adjustments were implemented as part of continuous efforts to shorten the exam process and improve the evaluative components, which are closely aligned with the fundamental competences required for management education and leadership.

XAT 2025 Exam Pattern: Major Changes
Integration of Analytical Essay Writing (AEW) with GD and PI (GD/PI) Processes: According to the revised XAT exam format, the Analytical Essay Writing (AEW) component will be administered during the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) stages of the selection process rather than the XAT 2025.
The General Knowledge section will now have 20 questions. Earlier, there were 25 questions. This portion will also comprise 12 questions on current affairs and 8 questions on static GK, allowing for a fair assessment of candidates' awareness of both current events and basic knowledge.
Examination Timings- The XAT 2025 exam will be divided into two sections. Part one of the exam is allotted 170 minutes. Part Two, which will only cover General Knowledge, will be a 10-minute part. This indicates the exam will last 180 minutes.

XAT 2025 Exam Pattern: Types Of Questions
The VA&LR portion will include critical and analytical reasoning, reading comprehension (including poetry and passages), vocabulary, basic English grammar, and other related activities like para jumbles and cloze examinations.
The DM section will feature scenarios from both personal and professional lives. Candidates must use critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and prioritization to make educated decisions.
The questions in the QA section are mostly geared toward 10th-grade mathematics. Notably, the focus is on application-oriented issues. The DI questions are about straightforward interpretation, summarization, and effective data analysis.
In the GK part, 08 questions will focus on static GK, while the remaining 12 will cover current events.
