The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) has released the counselling announcement for WBJEE-2024. Eligible candidates with a rank in JEE Main or WBJEE can apply for e-counselling through the official website.
The WBJEE counselling process consists of several steps, including registration, college and subject selection, option locking, seat allotment, document verification, and many more. Furthermore, candidates will be assigned a seat based on the seat matrix and participating college list published on the official website. The results for WBJEE 2024 were announced on June 6 by 3:00 pm, and a total of 1,12,963 students qualified for the exam.
According to the notification, candidates would be able to register for counselling only during the initial registration stage prior to round 1 and subsequently if they missed the mop-up round.
To register, the candidate must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 and provide the essential personal and academic information, including bank details.
WBJEE 2024 Counseling: Registration Details
Passing status, overall full marks, and total marks in Class 12, but only for the English subject in Class 10.
Class 12 marks in subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, computer application, electronics/information technology, informatics practices, technical vocational subject, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies, entrepreneurship, English, and others.
Candidate must be very attentive when selecting their preference throughout the choice filling process, and they are later given the chance to upgrade if their original selection is not available. They are urged to fill out and lock at least 20 preferences.
Following seat locking, the first round allocation results will be announced in accordance with the schedule provided. The student is asked to pay a Rs 5000 seat acceptance fee in order to secure their preferred seat or be considered for an upgrade.
Non-payment of the seat acceptance fee will result in the cancelation of the candidate's allotted seat, and they will not be considered for future upgrade choices.
