Description

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the NEET UG re-exam on June 30, which was performed on June 23 for 1563 students who lost time during the prior exam. Candidates who appeared in the NEET re-exam can view the results on the official website.

This year's NEET UG test took conducted on May 5. During the test, 1563 candidates in seven centers lost time due to the delivery of incorrect question sheets. To compensate them, the National Testing Agency decided to give them grace marks. However, the move was halted when petitions contesting it were filed in the Supreme Court.

During a Supreme Court hearing on the matter, the Centre stated that the grace marks given to these candidates had been annulled. It stated that the concerned candidates will be given another chance to appear for the examination. If they opt not to present for the re-examination, their original scores (without the grace marks) will be considered final. Notably, only 813 of the 1563 qualified candidates attempted the NEET re-exam.
