Shruti Vora, riding Magnanimous, has become the first Indian rider to win a three-star Grand Prix event, marking a historic feat for Indian equestrians. Shruti got 67.761 points at the CDI-3 tournament in Lipica, Slovenia, on June 7-9. The Indian finished ahead of Moldova's Tatiana Antonenco (Aachen), who scored 66.522. Austria's Juliane Jerich (Quarter Girl) finished third with a score of 66.087.
About Shruti Vora
Shruti Vora (born January 6, 1971 in Kolkata) is an Indian equestrian. Vora's mother rode horses and passed on her love of horses to Vora. Her brother Chandra Sekhar rode horses till he was in class twelve. Vora attended Loreto House for primary and secondary school, graduated from Shri Shikshayatan College in Kolkata, and earned a Master of Business Administration from European University in Geneva, Switzerland. She married Mitul Vora in 1997, and they have two boys, Varun and Aryan. After her marriage, Vora took a 14-year sabbatical from riding; she returned to the sport in 2009.
Achievement Of Shruti Vora
Shruti Vora represented India in the 2022 FEI World Championships (Equestrian Games) in Herning, Denmark. Vora and Anush Agarwalla were the first Indians to compete in an individual dressage event at the Dressage World Championships, with Vora scoring 64.53% on Denightron, a 16-year-old Indian-bred horse. Vora qualified for the World Championship in Hagen in June 2022 and competed for India at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, finishing eighth.

The rider-horse combination performs in a 20m × 60m arena surrounded by a low barrier that the horse must remain within. The arena features 12 lettered markers arranged symmetrically to indicate where the movements will begin, where the speed will change, and where the movements will stop. The seven phases are preliminary, elementary, medium, advanced medium, advanced, Prix St George, and Intermediate -I. The scoring is done on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 indicating extremely bad and 10 indicating excellent.
