The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras issued the preliminary answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 on June 2. Candidates who appeared in the entrance test can check their results on the official website.
IIT Madras stated that this answer key is provisional and subject to change. Candidates have until 5:00 pm on, June 3, to submit any objections or criticism. The institute will review the feedback and, if found valid, alter the final answer key for the exam.

The JEE Advanced result will be calculated using the final answer key. On June 9, the final answer key and results will be made available.
The institute issued the question papers on May 26 and the candidates' recorded responses on May 31, prior to the release of the answer key. Candidates can use it to determine their grades with the help of an answer key. On May 26, the entrance exam was administered in two shifts. Candidates appeared in the paper 1 exam during the first shift, which ran from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The paper 2 exam was given from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

The JEE Advanced exam is used to determine admission to various undergraduate programs at IITs. The top 2.5 lakh candidates who pass the JEE Main examination administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) are eligible.
In addition to the IITs, IISc Bangalore, IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati, IIST Thiruvananthapuram, RGIPT Rae Bareli, and IIPE Visakhapatnam all employ the entrance exam for admission.
