Description
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)'s Discipline of Psychology, School of Social Sciences (SOSS), offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health. This curriculum is meant to give students a solid foundation in the subject of mental health. The PGDMH seeks to prepare graduates to meet the growing need for mental health services by delving deeply into a wide range of psychological disorders and concerns.
Eligibility
Candidates with a master's degree in psychology, social work, or nursing, or medical graduates (allopathy, ayurveda, unani, siddha, homeopathy, yoga, and naturopathy), or a bachelor's degree in dental surgery (BDS), are eligible to apply for the IGNOU PG certificate in Mental Health course.
Admission
- Eligible candidates can enroll twice a year, between July and January.
Course Costs
- Candidates must pay Rs 9000 as course fees, plus Rs 300 as registration fees.
Duration
- The duration of the Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (PGDMH) is one year.
