Description

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUS) has published the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 exam date. The CLAT 2025 will take place on December 1 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

CLAT is held for admission to five-year integrated LLB and LLM degrees at India's 22 National Law Universities (NLUs). The CLAT UG and CLAT PG exam will consist of 120 questions. Candidates will have two hours to finish the test.

The CLAT UG paper will include questions about the English language, current events, general knowledge, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative methods. The CLAT PG question paper will include questions on constitutional law as well as other legal topics such as jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, property law, administrative law, contract law, torts, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labor and industrial law.

According to the official release, more information on the syllabus, application, and counselling procedure will be released shortly. Last year, a record 97.03 percent of registered CLAT 2024 UG candidates appeared in the exam, while 93.92 percent of CLAT PG candidates did the same on December 3, 2023.

CLAT 2024 participants include NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, HNLU Raipur, GNLU Gandhinagar, GNLU, Silvassa Campus, RMLNLU Lucknow, RGNUL Punjab, CNLU Patna, NUALS Kochi, NLUO Odisha, NUSRL Ranchi, NLUJA Assam, DSNLU Visakhapatanam, TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, MNLU Mumbai, MNLU Nagpur, MNLU Aurangabad, HPNLU Shimla.
