IIT Madras is conducting the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2024. The hosting institute has lately given exam admit cards. Candidates can download their hall tickets via the official website.
According to IIT Madras, JEE Advanced 2024 will be held on May 26, 2024. Paper 1 of the exam will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must bring admit cards to the exam hall, since no student will be allowed to enter without showing their admit card.
Candidates will also be required to present a valid original photo identity card (any of the following: Aadhaar card, school/college/institute ID, driver's license, voter ID, passport, PAN card, and signed certificate with photograph).
The candidate's identity will be verified at the center by the invigilator and IIT representatives. There will be no extra time allotted to complete the exam.
Use of unfair means or impersonation in the exam will be considered a serious offense and may result in legal consequences.
Before entering the examination center, every candidate will be subjected to obligatory frisking.
Candidates are permitted to bring pens, pencils, drinking water in transparent bottles, a downloaded admit card, and an original photo identification card.
Items such as smart/digital/programmable/analog watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, or any other electronic gadgets, printed/blank/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, scales, erasers, geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens/scanners, wallets, handbags, cameras, goggles, or similar items are not permitted.
Wearing charms/taweez, metal-containing objects such as rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches, and clothing with large buttons is not recommended. Candidates are recommended to wear open footwear such as chappals or sandals.
Candidates must arrive at the examination center ahead of time and complete the formalities outlined in their admit card.
Candidates who arrive at the exam centers after the start time for each paper (9:00 am for Paper 1 and 2:30 pm for Paper 2) will not be permitted to appear in the examination under any circumstances.
Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before 12:00 pm for Paper 1 or 5:30 pm for Paper 2.
Only responses from candidates who appeared in both Papers 1 and 2 will be evaluated/graded. As a result, participation in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mandatory.
