Description
Following Ranoj Pegu, Assam's Education Minister's letter to the National Testing Agency (NTA) over the provision of Examination Centres for CUET in Barak Valley, the NTA changed the allocated centres for select Assam students. According to the altered timetable, the Bengali (104) and Environmental Studies (307) exams on May 29 in Silchar, Assam will now be pen and paper (OMR-based).
Such candidates are warned not to venture beyond Silchar, Assam. Fresh admit cards for the concerned candidates will be made available soon on the official website.

However, this chance is only available to candidates who chose Silchar as their examination centre and received an admit card for another city due to logistical considerations. Also, candidates who have already arrived at their exam city as specified in the available admit card may appear for the CBT mode examination on May 24.
“All affected candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure they can appear for their exams,” NTA said.
Earlier this week, Pegu stated that there is only one exam center for the CUET exam in Silchar, which is generating complications for students in his state who have to travel to far locations for the CUET UG 2024.
The exam this year began on May 15 and will end on May 24. However, on May 29, the exam will be held separately for Delhi and Kanpur's one exam center.
