The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to hold the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET-UG 2024 on May 5, 2024. More than 24 lakh students are appearing for the undergraduate medical entrance exam at various centers from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm. The exam will be held in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities outside of India.
Candidates who will be appearing in the exam can review the following question paper pattern and preparation program. The results will be announced on June 14, 2024. The NEET UG 2024 paper pattern consists of four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each subject will have two portions.
For Section A (MCQs)
To answer a question, candidates must select one choice that corresponds to the correct answer or the most relevant answer. However, if any discrepancy is discovered after the process of challenges for key verification, it will be resolved in the following manner-
Four points will be awarded for each accurate or most relevant answer.
Every wrong response will result in a -1 mark deduction.
Unanswered questions will not be awarded or deducted any marks.
If more than one option is markedfound to be accurate, four marks will be granted to those who marked any of the correct options.
If none of the options are found accurate, a question is found to be incorrect, or a question is dropped, all candidates who attended will be granted four marks regardless of whether the question was attempted or not by the candidate.
For Section B (MCQs)
Students are given a choice in Section B of the paper. Candidates need to answer any ten of the fifteen questions presented. If they attempt more than ten questions, only the first ten will be considered for evaluation. Section B will also receive negative marking.
If any anomaly or inconsistency is found following the key verification challenges procedure, it will be addressed as follows-
Each correct answer will earn you four marks.
Every wrong answer will result in a -1 mark deduction.
No mark will be awarded or subtracted for each unanswered question.
If more than one option is determined to be accurate, only those who marked any of the correct alternatives will receive four (+4) marks.
If a question is found to be incorrect or is dropped, all individuals who attempted the question will receive four marks (+4). The reason could be either human or technical mistake.
Candidates are recommended to perform the calculations using the constants specified (if any) in the questions.
