Description

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has introduced an updated version of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for MBA and PGDM admissions.

MAT 2.0, which will be available in May 2024, is an updated version of the exam that intends to include new components such as current business and economic developments.

The revised edition of the exam intends to provide a new viewpoint on management education that is consistent with industry practices and evolving educational requirements.

We have received valuable feedback from numerous business schools and stakeholders, urging us to prioritize sections aligning with emerging trends. Consequently, we have made significant adjustments to both the exam questions and structure in consultation with our partner institutions. The advancing landscape of business, driven by the increasing influence of Fintech and technology, has necessitated a paradigm shift in our approach. We are now placing greater emphasis on topics traditionally overlooked in management education, thereby equipping aspiring students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in today's dynamic business environment,” said Daljeet Singh, Director AIMA.

MAT 2.0 includes changes to exam organization, content focus, and duration. Candidates must now attempt 150 questions within 120 minutes of the exam's duration. According to AIMA, MAT 2.0 will be administered in a variety of ways, including Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT), allowing candidates to select the option that best meets their interests and convenience.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduates from any discipline. Students in their final year of graduate studies are also eligible to apply.

Application Fees

  • The exam fee for MAT May 2024 is Rupees 2100/-. Candidates might pay an extra Rupees 1200/- for an additional test mode.
