Description
Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh launched the Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX (ADITI) scheme on March 4, 2024, at DefConnect 2024 in New Delhi. The program intends to encourage innovation in vital and strategic defense technologies by giving start-ups with considerable research and development grants.
ADITI Scheme Overview
Objective- Encourage innovation in essential and strategic defense technologies.
Grant-in-Aid- Up to Rs 25 crore for defence research, development, and innovation.
Duration and budget- Rs 750 crore given from 2023-24 to 2025-26.
Targets- Create roughly 30 deep-tech critical and strategic technologies.

Youth Innovation- The administration emphasized its commitment to promoting youth innovation.

Defense India Startup Challenge (DISC)
Initiative- Unveiled the 11th edition, which has 22 problem statements.

Self-Reliance In Defense Production
Significance- Emphasized the necessity of self-reliance in making independent decisions that are consistent with national objectives.
Government Initiatives- Emphasized efforts to promote domestic industry and stimulate the economy.
Procurement Budget- Indian enterprises will receive 75% of the defence capital procurement budget.
