The Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, is preparing to conduct the fourth edition of 'Lineman Diwas' in New Delhi on March 4, 2024. This yearly festival honors the unwavering dedication and service of linemen and ground maintenance workers who play an important role in power distribution throughout India.
Theme: 'Seva, Suraksha, Swabhiman'
The theme for this year's festival, in partnership with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (Tata Power-DDL), is 'Seva, Suraksha, Swabhiman', a salute to lineman across the country who work selflessly. The event aims to recognize their vital contributions and the sacrifices they make to ensure a steady electricity supply.
Nationwide Tradition
The CEA envisage making 'Lineman Diwas' a national tradition for all public and commercial transmission and distribution businesses. The goal of setting aside a day to acknowledge their efforts is to build a culture of gratitude and respect for frontline workers in the power sector.
Participation And Morale-Boosting
Linemen from more than 100 transmission and distribution firms in India, including Gujarat, Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, have been invited to take part. The event is expected to provide a huge morale boost for these frontline personnel.

Lineman Diwas gives an opportunity for lineman to share their experiences, challenges, and perspectives with officials in a candid setting. It promotes the exchange of ideas and best safety practices, so contributing to collective learning and increasing efficiency in the power distribution sector.
