Description
The Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) hosted the second edition of the SARAS Aajeevika Mela, which was opened by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo. Dulloo, accompanied by luminaries like as Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Indu Kanwal Chib, underlined the importance of the event in highlighting the tenacity and inventiveness of rural women entrepreneurs.
Exhibition Highlights
The Mela, which features over 220 rural women from 15 states, provides an opportunity for self-help group craftsmen to showcase their work. The event features 60 exhibitors, including 40 from outside Jammu and Kashmir, offering a varied range of handloom and handicraft products.

The major goal of SARAS Aajeevika Mela is to empower rural women by providing a direct market for their products, improving their marketing abilities, and promoting cultural interchange.
