The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stated on January 21 that marks sheets and certificates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 will be available via DigiLocker.
The board will create DigiLocker accounts for all candidates who appeared in the exam, and they will receive login credentials via mobile phones registered with CBSE.
This, the board said, is its resolution towards a ‘green initiative’.
“The Board is committed to save a huge amount of money and valuable resources like paper, trees and water and reduce carbon emissions,” the CBSE said.
“Mark sheet and eligibility certificate is convenient in digital format for all as they can be shared electronically anytime anywhere,” it added.
To improve the security of mars sheets and certificates, CBSE will include encrypted QR codes in these documents, which can be scanned and validated using the DigiLocker app. According to CBSE, these digitally signed documents are legally valid under the Information Technology Act.
The 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility examination (CTET January 2024) took place on January 21 at 3,418 examination centers in 135 cities around the country. A total of 26,93526 individuals registered for both examinations, and the exam had an attendance rate of approximately 84%. The CBSE reported that 9,58,193 candidates enrolled for exam 1 (classes 1-5) and 17,35,333 for paper 2 (classes 6–8).
The examination's answer key, as well as scanned pictures of OMR sheets, will be made available on the official website shortly. Candidates will be able to submit objections for each question after paying a non-refundable fee.
