Significance Of Lata Mangeshkar Chowk
A New Attraction The Chowk, named after famed Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, is now a popular selfie place for both locals and tourists.
Location and Feature The chowk, located near the Naya Ghat at the intersection of Ram Path and Dharm Path, has a large Saraswati.
Veena sculpture. The 14-tonne bronze sculpture by Ram Sutar represents Lata Mangeshkar's musical legacy.
Development Costs The sculpture, which is 40 feet long and 12 meters tall, was created at a cost of Rs 7.9 crore. It is set amidst a pond with 92 'lotus' representing Mangeshkar's 92 years.
Inauguration and Recognition Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Chowk on September 28, 2022. Notable personalities, like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have visited, increasing its importance.

Development Projects Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Ayodhya is undergoing substantial development, with projects totaling over Rs 15,700 crore. The government aims to transform Ayodhya and its surrounds into a smart city, with an investment of approximately Rs 11,100 crore.
Improved Connectivity The opening of the Ayodhya Dham railway station and the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is a step toward better connectivity. The railway station's capacity will be raised to 60,000 people daily.
Economic and Spiritual Hub Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, stated that Ayodhya is now recognized as an economic and spiritual hub in India and around the world.
