Pixxel, a Bengaluru-based space technology business, celebrated a key milestone on January 15 with the opening of its cutting-edge spaceship production facility, entitled "MegaPixxel." The 30,000-square-foot facility is expected to revolutionize India's satellite production capacity.

Integrated Satellite Manufacturing MegaPixxel can provide comprehensive satellite manufacturing services, such as spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing (AIT), all under one roof.
Impressive Capacity At full operational capacity, the factory can construct more than 20 satellites at once, resulting in a phenomenal turnaround time of only six months per satellite.
ISRO Chairman Inaugurates Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman S Somanath attended the inauguration ceremony, emphasizing the importance of Pixxel's contributions to the space industry.
Clean Room Facilities MegaPixxel has two modern clean rooms that meet ISO Class 7 and ISO Class 8 requirements, providing a controlled environment to protect against contamination during satellite assembly and integration.
Comprehensive Infrastructure The facility houses labs for advanced camera integration, electronics research and development, electrical assembly, a mechanical workshop, a mission control room, and office space for approximately 200 staff.
Environmental Sustainability Pixxel prioritizes environmental sustainability with a wastewater treatment plant for water conservation and smart HVAC technologies to improve energy efficiency, in line with global initiatives to reduce carbon footprint.
