Description

Delhi School Education Minister Atishi has announced that the city's winter vacation will be extended. The city's schools will now be shuttered until January 12, 2024. Due to the ongoing cold wave and IMD's issuing of yellow alerts, the directive applies to schools from Nursery to Fifth. Parents and students with queries about the Delhi winter holiday 2024 can contact the school administration.

The Delhi Minister took to the microblogging site X to announce the closure reads, ''Schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 5 days due to the prevailing cold weather conditions, for students from Nursery to Class 5.’’

Delhi Winter Vacation 2024 Previous Extension Cancelled

Due to the unprecedented cold wave and yellow warning, the Delhi government extended the Delhi winter vacations till January 10, 2024, for all government-aided, unaided, and recognized private schools.

The notice was promptly retracted, and a new notice was issued canceling the extensions. The preceding ruling extending the Winter vacation, dated January 6, 2024, is categorically declared void in the withdrawal notification, numbered DE.23(3)/Sch.Br./2024/19. Furthermore, the notice warns that there may be other orders on this matter in the future.

Following that, the Education Minister issued a notice extending the Delhi winter vacation 2024 till January 12, from Nursery to 5th grade.

Please contact the school administration for more information on Delhi Winter Vacation 2024.
