Rashmi Govil, a seasoned human resources executive with nearly three decades of experience at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), is set to take over as Director (Human Resources) at the state-owned corporation. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended her for the role, citing her remarkable qualifications and services to the business.
Background
Govil, who is currently the IOC's Executive Director (HRD & ER), will follow Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra. In May, Mohapatra's plea for an eight-month extension was denied, opening the way for Govil to take over leadership of the critical Human Resources sector.

Govil joined IOC in 1994 and has been with the company for nearly three decades. She graduated from Bundelkhand University and has an MBA with an HR specialty as well as a PG Diploma in Finance.
