In the first week of December, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is likely to release the tentative answer key for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023. Though the exact date for the release of the answer key has not yet been revealed, candidates should keep an eye on the IIM CAT official website for the most up-to-current information.
Sanjay Singh, the convenor of CAT 2023, stated that the answer key is due in the first week of December.
“At this point, I cannot give a date for the release of the CAT answer key, but we will release it soon, by the first week of December,” Singh said.
Candidates will be able to see the answer keys for all three seats and submit objections once the answer key is available. Candidates will, however, be charged a fee for each question they challenge. The CAT 2023 exam was held on November 26th, with a total of 3.28 lakh candidates registering for the exam. 2.88 lakh, or 88%, of the candidates who appeared in the exam. Following the release of the provisional answer key, IIM Lucknow will open the window for candidates to file objections. Examining authorities will provide the CAT 2023 final answer key based on this. On this premise, the CAT 2023 final result will be announced.
CAT 2023: Marking Scheme
The marking scheme, according to the official statement by IIM Lucknow, specifies that the candidate would be granted 3 marks for each correct answer. While in MCQs, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. However, there will be no penalty for non-MCQ incorrect responses or unsolved questions.
Following the release of the final CAT 2023 answer key, IIM Lucknow will announce the CAT 2023 result, which is likely in the first week of January 2024. The announced score is valid only until December 31, 2024.
