Description
The Haryana Directorate of Education changed the school timings from November 15, 2023. According to the new timetable, all single-shift schools in the state would be open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. For double shift schools, the first shift will run from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift will run from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm. Beginning November 15, all schools in the state must adhere to the amended schedule. Parents and students should contact school officials about changed Haryana school hours.
The Education Department directed the District Fundamental and District Education Officers to implement the revised Haryana School Timings in a letter. Previously, the schools were closed in various districts due to increased pollution and a very low air quality index.
Schools Closed Due To Alarming Pollution In Delhi NCR
Aside from the change of Haryana school hours, the Gurugram government has suspended courses from nursery to fifth grade until further notice. To protect schoolchildren from air pollution in Delhi NCR, officials have decided to close schools.
Vikram Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad, has also ordered a school closure from classes 1st to 5th from November 7 to 12, 2023. In addition, due to high air pollution in the city, the Delhi government has declared an early winter break from November 9 to November 19.
