The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 counselling is being held by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot Punjab. On August 28, BFUHS announced the results of the provisional allotment for round two.

Candidates who have been provisionally selected can pay the remainder of the price, i.e., the six-month fee after deducting the security deposit, and report to designated colleges from (August 29) until September 4.

“The candidates who did not get upgraded in Round 2 and wanted to resign their seat of Round 1 can do so within a period up to August 30 (till 04:00 pm) with free exit, after which they will be considered as part of Round 2 and same rules will apply on them as applicable for Round 2 counselling. However, any resignation after August 30 (04:00 pm) will be treated as exit with forfeiture of fee,” read the official notice.

The medical college has a small batch of 75 students so that each student receives equal attention from the lecturers. It has a capacity of 775 beds.

Christian dentistry College, the dentistry division of Christian Medical College, was founded in 1992. It was ranked 30th among top dental schools in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023. Since 1999, the dentistry college has admitted 40 students per class.

Every year, 100 candidates are admitted to the MBBS program at Dayanand Medical College via the NEET. In addition, the college provides several courses in the MD/MS PG course in 19 disciplines and Super Specialties courses in nine disciplines.

In 1934, the college was founded as Arya Medical College, and in 1936, the medical school was transferred to Arya Samaj. The medical college was recognized for Licentiate of Punjab State Medical Faculty (LSMF) in 1938, and the hospital affiliated to it was renamed "Dayanand Hospital" the following year. Arya Medical School became a full-fledged MBBS college in 1964, and was renamed Dayanand Medical College and Hospital.
