Description
The Shrewsbury School UK collaborated with the Jagran Social Welfare Society to open its first campus in India. The school's first campus will be developed in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The school's opening ceremony was held on August 24 in New Delhi. Tim Haynes, Governing Chair of the Shrewsbury School in the United Kingdom, Hari Mohan Gupta and Abhishek Mohan Gupta from the Jagran Social Welfare Society, promoters of the Shrewsbury School in India, and Dr. Maghin Tamilarasan, Director International Development of the Shrewsbury School in the United Kingdom, all attended the occasion.
According to a press statement made by JSW Society, the Shrewsbury International School, India Campus will open in the academic year 2025-26. The school will be a co-educational residential school for kids aged 11 to 18, with a capacity of 800 students. The school will be built on a 150-acre campus.
Students will study the English National Curriculum leading to Cambridge International IGCSE examinations in years 9 and 10 to qualify them for entry into A Level courses with final examinations at the end of years 12 and 13. The enrollment period will begin in July 2024.
