The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has allowed candidates to upgrade their seats from round 2 to 3 in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023. The official notice states, “As approved by the competent authority, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS has provided benefit of Upgradation from Round-2 to Round-3 of UG Counselling for the academic year 2023.”
Important Dates
In addition, from August 19 to 21, 6:00 pm., the MCC has reopened the seat resignation process for round 1. The resignation letter is generated online on the official website by the authorized college, failing which the resignation would be treated as 'Null & Void'. The NEET counselling 2023 Round 3 registration period will run from August 31 to September 4, 2023.
Instructions Regarding NEET UG Counselling 2023 Seat Upgradation From Round 2 To 3
Round 1 candidates who did not receive an upgrade in round 2 and want to participate in round 3 must fill out an upgrade choice form, since their willingness will be assumed to be a 'yes' automatically.
Those who were allocated seats for the first time in round 2 may fill in choices for upgradation in round 3 by marking their willingness as 'yes' when reporting for their round 2 seat at the allotted college.
Candidates in rounds 1 and 2 who are pleased with their assigned seats and do not want to be upgraded in round 3 may not fill in new selections in round 3.
However, candidates from rounds 1 and 2 must remain in the system and should be holding their seats to fill choices in round 3. If a candidate resigns from a seat in round 1 or round 2, they must pay all fees again to participate in round 3.
Any round 2 candidate who wants to resign may do so with forfeiture before the round 3 choice-filling begins. There will be no chance to resign following the start of round 3 choice filling.
There will be a 'Exit with Forfeiture' if a candidate does not join the designated seat of Round 2/ Round 3.
Candidates who exited with a forfeiture in round 3 will be unable to participate in any further rounds or stray vacancy rounds. As a result, round 3 'Exit with Forfeiture' candidates will be eliminated from counselling.
