The Educational Testing Service (ETS), which administers the English assessment exam known as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), has created an app to help test takers prepare for the new and shorter version of the exam.
TOEFL Go features entire TOEFL iBT mock examinations, supplementary practice sets for the four sections, AI-powered automated scoring, section performance feedback, customised feedback, and toppers for speaking and writing responses.
The app will be available via mobile and desktop devices. Last month, ETS, which conducts the TOEFL and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), announced a series of changes to the English proficiency test in order to provide the best possible experience for people who take it. The changes went into effect on July 26.
TOEFL scores are accepted by over 12,000 institutions in over 160 countries and are universally accepted in popular destination such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as by over 98% of universities in the United Kingdom.
TOEFL will now take less than two hours to complete, rather than three, and candidates will be able to receive their official score release date immediately after completing the test.
