Description
A total of 16.8 lakh candidates applied for the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET UG 2023), nearly 4 lakh more than the previous year. A total of 12.50 lakh students registered for the CUET UG national-level entrance exam in 2022.
M. Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), announced on April 4, 2023, via his Twitter handle that of the 16.8 lakh registrations for CUET UG 2023, 13.995 lakh students paid the application fee and submitted the application form. Last year, 12.50 lakh students registered, with 9.9 lakh submitting applications. The UGC Chairman also stated that the total number of test takers in CUET UG 2023 is up 41% from the previous year.

CUET UG 2023
The CUET UG application was available from February 9 to March 30, 2023. The admit card is expected to be distributed in the second week of May, with the exam beginning on May 21. Under the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is being introduced for admission into UG Programmes offered in all Central Universities for the Academic Session 2023-24.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide candidates across the country with a common platform and equal opportunities. Around 231 CUET participating universities will offer admission to UG programs through this exam . 44 central universities are participating in CUET 2023 and offering admission to UG courses.
