Description
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has begun the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 counselling registration from December 28, 2022. Till January 12, 2023, candidates can complete the CLAT counselling registration process for admission to the national law universities.
Candidates who have received admissions counselling invitation through email or SMS are eligible to participate by logging onto their CLAT portal. Candidates have been asked to participate in the counselling process based on the NLU's rank list and admissions matrix.
Candidates have to pay the counselling registration fee by 6:00 pm on January 12, 2023 in order to complete their registration for counselling. Candidates from the General category are required to pay Rupees 30,000, while those from the Scheduled Caste (ST), Scheduled Tribe (SC), Other Backward Caste (OBC), Backward Caste (BC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Person with Disability (PwD) categories have to pay Rupees 20,000.
Candidates who were not assigned a seat in any round of the CLAT 2023 entrance counselling procedure may be assigned a seat in subsequent rounds against any vacancies.
Candidates that have been assigned seats at any NLU will be able to freeze, float, or exit. If a candidate chooses "Float" or "Freeze" before selecting "Exit," the seat will be reassigned and the confirmation fee will be forfeited. In addition, the candidates will not be considered for admission in any round of CLAT counselling.
