Description

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2023 registration will begin on December 23, 2022. Candidates can register online for the WBJEE 2023 at the official website. The WBJEE is conducted as a state-level entrance examination for admission to UG Engineering, Pharmacy, and Architecture programmes in West Bengal’s government and self-financed institutions and universities.

Candidates must login at the official website and register themselves with information such as their names, father's name, mother's name, gender, and domicile in order to register and apply online for WBJEE. According to WBJEEB statement, having a valid mobile number and a unique valid email ID is required.

The board said, “If any information other than name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth given in the application needs to be corrected, the rectification may be done by the candidate only within the notified Correction Period."

Candidates applying for the WBJEE exam must have completed or be enrolled in a Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or institution. As on December 31, 2023, the candidate's age should not be lower than 17 years old nor can it be higher than 25 years old.

Candidates should have received a got of 40% for the BTech programme in all three courses from their Class 12 grade (or 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). Candidates for the BArch programme should have got a minimum of 50% overall in Class 12. Candidates in the General category need to submit an application fee of Rupees 500. Candidates who belong to one of the following categories have to pay Rupees 400 application fee- Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Caste-A, and Other Backward Caste-B.
