The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exams will be discontinued from the year 2022 onwards. According to the notification, the Department Of Science and Technology (DST) has decided to merge KVPY with INSPIRE. As per the notification, "Ongoing KVPY fellows will continue to receive fellowship as per norms from DST."
KVPY is a national-level fellowship programme developed and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The test for admission to BS and BS-MS dual degree programmes was recognised by prestigious institutions across the country, such as the IISc and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).
