On Thursday, the B R Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence (ASoSE) had their first mega parent-teacher meetings, during which unique report cards displaying the details of a student's learning level as well as marks were handed over to parents. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also handles the education responsibility in the Delhi government, visited four ASoSEs in Rohini to learn about the experiences of parents and kids.
The Delhi government declared last week that the Specialised School of Excellence would be renamed B R Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence in honour of the main framer of India's constitution's birth anniversary. "ASoSEs aspire to be role models for how a dynamic environment, specialised training and resources, and a strong enthusiasm and commitment can propel youngsters to great heights in a variety of professions, regardless of their background. These schools will eventually alter the way people learn "Mr. Sisodia explained.
Parents were educated about what their children had learned in the previous year as well as their increased abilities during the meeting. "In comparison to his prior private school, my child's confidence has skyrocketed here. I am confident that my daughter will improve in the future. In her old school, the emphasis was on bookish knowledge, and teachers would encourage only a few favourite children, but here, facilitators place a greater emphasis on each child's whole growth "a parent explained.
